She also held key leadership positions aboard the aircraft carrier USS George H. W. Bush, in Navy air logistics, and as an instructor responsible for shaping the next generation of naval aviators.

Throughout her career, Susie built a reputation for leading with clarity, resilience, and strategic foresight — skills she now brings to leaders and organizations through Orion Leadership. She is passionate about helping individuals and teams unlock their potential, navigate complexity, and thrive in high-stakes environments.

Today, in addition to her consulting work, Susie serves as a First Officer for Delta Air Lines and remains an active volunteer in her local community. She lives in Brunswick, Maine, with her family, where she enjoys time outdoors — from hiking and biking to soccer games and days on the water.
